Windows 10: Diagonistic Data inside Privacy & Security is turned off in Windows 11 maybe by Kaspersky...

I installed Kaspersky Total Security KTS as antivirus to my Windows 11 Home operating system Version21H2, Build 22000.526 in Beta Channel. But in the ‘Privacy & Security’ under Settings, I find that the Diagnostic data is permanently turned off screenshot enclosed. It is saying “Your organization prevents sending diagnostic data to Microsoft”. It is also telling to “leave the Windows Insider Programme”. Please see the screenshot carefully and you will find everything in ‘Privacy & Security’ is turned off/greyed out. I don’t know what to do. Should I uninstall KT

Security Centre reports Kaspersky and Windows Defender turned off

In Windows Settings / Update and Security it only has Windows Defender in the list on the left hand side, this reports "The settings for Windows Defender Antivirus aren't available because it is turned off"; then gives the option to Turn on Windows Defender Antivirus.

In old-style Control Panel / Security and Maintenance, under the Security heading, it reports Windows Defender Antivirus and Kaspersky Internet Security are both turned off, and gives a button View Antivirus Applications. This shows the dialogue box I mentioned in the OP which lists the two installed virus protection applications: Kaspersky Internet Security - Off, Windows Defender Antivirus - Snoozed.

Kaspersky reports Your Computer is protected and can be seen in Task Manager to be running and consuming resources.

As Windows - falsely - claims neither is running there's no option to turn one off.

I'm wondering whether it started with this week's Windows updates.

I might try uninstalling and re-installing KIS to see if it makes any difference.

 

Security Centre reports Kaspersky and Windows Defender turned off

In Settings type Control Panel...click on System and Security...security drop down panel will indicate what AV is in use.
If both Defender and Kasperski are listed it should advise that two AV,s conflict, and give an option to turn one off.

 

Windows 10 Creators Update to Feature New Levels of Privacy Control

Come'on. Even tho it offers a privacy setting, it's still not good enough.

There's a very good article on What data Windows 10 sends to Microsoft and how to stop it – HackMag what explains what your W10 OS is doing on the background and what type of data it is sending.

Making a privacy setting still submits the very basic tracking data to various servers, and no-one actually knows what is happening with that.

Windows 7 never had any privacy killing features aboard, untill they pushed an update to even computers with automatic updated turned off, offering the same type of stuff.

People need to be aware that this is just a 'small' step into a future where privacy is just no more. This privacy will be gone the more the masses keep signing up to services in exchange for their data. W10, Google, Facebook, they are all a perfectly good example of company's who became too big.

Remove telemetry updates for Windows 7 and 8.1
