Windows 10: Dictation is not working working

When I start the tool WIN+H it just says ”to use dictation select a text field” notepad, WordPad and office word are on – nothing, not registered at all, empty web online fields same and it does not listen, not even when the microphone icon is pressed. However, if I open settings, and then I click an empty field, it s like the search field it starts listening. Cortana is working flawlessly, I ask questions and Cortana answers them.Anyone knows what’s happening? I do not know what and when happened because all of the settings are in the correct order. 1. Are you using dictation in Windows or Office application?
   
2. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
3. Did you make any changes to the computer before this issue started?
   

I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: To dictate text:

1. Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking Windows Speech Recognition.

2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

3. Open the program you want to use or select the text box you want to dictate text into.

4. Say the text that you want dictate.

Diarium dictation does not work

I just bought Diarium Premium because the description said it handles audio dictation. However, when I click the Diarium microphone icon for dictation, it just says 'Listening....' and nothing happens when I talk into my microphone. Using the same microphone,
I can create, save, and playback an audio file in Diarium, so I know my microphone is working properly. I'm running Diarium on Windows 10 desktop and plugging my mic into the front mic jack of my computer. My mic works on other audio apps like Windows Voice
Recorder and the audio file part of Diarium. But Diarium dictation does not work. Can you suggest something to make it work. Otherwise, how do I get a refund on my purchase of Diarium? As I said, dictation was the main reason I bought it, and if that doesn't
work, I don't want it.
