Did a network reset and no idea how to reinstall all the drivers, read on a similar thread to delete the network driver so i did that but don't have a replacement driver to reinstall and can't access the internet to download a new one. Any possible way I can get up and running again with what I should have on my laptop?

Network Issues After Installing and Reinstalling AMD Drivers

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.

An outdated or incompatible network adapter driver usually causes issues like this. I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in
Fix network connection issues in Windows and check if it works.

This could also be due to the power saving mode enabled for the driver, you may want to disable it and see if it works.

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.

    • Locate the network adapter for your device, right click the same, and choose
      Properties.
    • Under Power Management tab, uncheck
Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
      .
    • Reboot the machine to see if the connection remains stable.

To set your wireless adapter for maximum performance, follow the steps listed below:

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      ‘Power Options’
      .
    • Click on ‘Additional Power Settings’ and choose ‘Change Plan Settings’
      for the current plan.
    • Select ‘Change Advanced Power Settings’ > ‘Wireless Adapter Settings’.
    • Expand ‘Power Saving Mode’ and set it for
      Maximum Performance.

    Regards,

    Network reset: Bad idea!

    Hello Darien Caruthers,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I can understand your frustration, but I want to make sure that you have followed some instructions to perform a "network reset" on your computer, right?

I'm not sure where the instructions you saw came from, but if you'd like to share them. Generally, network reset should not be performed as a preferred option.

Please let me share with you the following:

Fix Ethernet connection problems in Windows - Microsoft Support

A network reset will delete any installed network adapters and their Settings. After you restart your computer, all network adapters should be reinstalled and the network adapter Settings will be restored to their default values. So at this point, unfortunately, this network information cannot be recovered and you need to reconfigure it all:

    1. If you have set the IP manually before, then you need to reset it now.
    2. You may need to re-enter the password for the corresponding Wi-Fi to access these networks.
    3. You may need to reinstall and set up other network software that you may be using.
