Windows 10: Did anyone else's Microsoft USB camera stop working on Windows 11?

My Microsoft USB camera/mike just stopped working on Windows 11, Zoom etc. It's a Lifecam L2 HD-3000 purchased a couple of years ago. It's completely disappeared from system devices etc. just no sign of it anywhere, no bleep when I plug in and out of different USB ports, just nothing, so can't try driver updates or anything like that. Was working fine until a few weeks ago. Of course there have been Windows 11 updates since then. I plugged in an older Logitech camera and that works perfectly.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter

Windows Camera app no longer works


On my ASUS G74SX-3DE Notebook, Windows Camera no longer works after the app update(s) recently.

It would start up with:




I have no idea who makes the camera for the device and ASUS doesn't provide Windows 10 drivers except the camera works fine with other apps.

Windows installs a driver with the device listed as:
USB2.0 UVC 1M WebCam
in device manager with driver version 10.0.10240.16384 and the date

USB\VID_13D3&PID_5134&MI_00
USB\VID_13D3&PID_5134&REV_0725&MI_00

is the device ID's

 

Windows 11: Plugging in a USB Camera resets Bluetooth volume to nominal.

I am aware of the present situation is that Your Windows 11 plugged into a Logitech camera (USB camera) will reset the Bluetooth volume. As this may involve a third-party hardware driver, could you please provide some details?

• Whether the current Logitech camera have some USB drivers loaded on the current computer?
  
• As a test environment, please try plugging the device in with another USB device and see if the Bluetooth volume resets or not?
  
• Assuming that the other USB device does not affect your Bluetooth volume when plugged in, then we need to trace the reason back to the Logitech camera itself. Technically speaking, the Bluetooth connection is also via the USB protocol, I would suggest you contact Logitech's official support and ask if anyone else has recently reported the same problem, if so please try to contact Logitech for a more compatible driver.
