Just as title says, to clarify, you can't normally set lockscreen image with GPO for Windows 11 Pro computers, as it only works for Enterprise and Education, however you could set these 3 different PersonalizationCSP registry keys and it would work, so I had this setup for one of my customers, but suddenly the 12th December last year, it just stopped working, anybody has any info regarding this? Do any of you still use PeronalizationCSP registry keys to set lockscreen image with GPO with the latest update and it still works? Thanks in advance

    :)

  2. Set Lockscreen Image by using registry

    Hello,

I'm trying to set the lockscreen image of all users using my device via registry.

I followed the same steps I used to configure Win7:

    - Put the backgroundimage into the directory "C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds"

    - Edit the registry value "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background\OEMBackground" to 1

But nothing happens. My OS is Windows 10 Home Threshold 2.

And yes the personalization has to be done via registry, without the use of third-party tools.

If someone faced the same problem it would be kind of you to share your solution.

    Greetings,

    Bernd

No Creative Key in Lockscreen setting in Registry

Thanks Bree, I found my own method of retrieving LockScreen images. It's probably more laborious than the link you gave me, but less intimidating for me (not into Power Shell or batch files). This link gave directions on how to find the LockScreen files, copy them to another folder and rename them as JPGs. Where Are the Windows Lock Screen Images Stored? – Improve & Repeat I used a renaming utility to batch rename them (Advanced Renamer) and then weeded out the icons and other small images by deleting smaller files. I was left with 4 LockScreen images -- not the ones I wanted, but there was one I had not seen and identified as a Pissarro. Thanks for your help on this.

Set Lockscreen Image by using registry

It looks like you're trying to set the Logon UI logon screen background: that's not currently supported. However, you mention that you trying to set the lockscreen background. In that case it sounds like you want to be setting the REG_SZ value LockScreenImage
under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization . Note that that is an administrative policy override and will prevent users from further modifying their lock screen image.
