Windows 10: Did Microsoft prioritize the Features over Security of 450 Mil users ?

450 Million people are affected by Microsoft's decision. What % of world population needs the features that come with Win 11 upgrade ?I don't care about Win 11 AI features which is not even proven to be useful yet, I need the basic security features which are essential for all 100% windows users without a question . https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2024/11/29/microsoft-windows-hacking-warning-450-million-users-must-now-act/

Microsoft Security Bulletin for September 2007

Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

2. Type internet options

3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

4. Click on the advanced tab

5. Scroll down to the security section

6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
Use SSL 3.0
Use TLS 1.0
Use TLS 1.1
Use TLS 1.2

7. Click apply

8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

 

Cannot access .mil websites have done everything!

Method 1.

If you are using Internet Explorer I suggest you clear your browser's cache and temporary internet files to make sure that they are not causing your issue. This is often caused by a corrupted file in the browser. Please clear your browser's cookies
by following the instructions on the link below:

  Open Internet Explorer and press Alt + X.
  
• 
  Click on Internet option.
  
• 
  Check on Delete browsing history on exit
  and click Delete.
  

If the above does not help to fix the issue try the below method.

Method 2.

I suggest you to reset Internet explorer and check. Follow the below steps.

Please follow the below steps

• 
  Open Internet Explorer and press Alt + X.
  
• 
  Click on Internet option.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced tab and click on
  Reset button.
  

Select the Delete personal settings check box if you would also like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, Tracking Protection, and ActiveX Filtering data.
