Windows 10: Did Microsoft Remove Quick Access from File Explorer.

I have Windows 11 Professional.A couple of weeks ago, after an update from Microsoft I noticed that when I do file explorer, my quick access was gone. I have always used the quick access to display the folders that I most use. Was this something that Microsoft did? If so, is it possible to get it back?I still have the "pin to quick access" option when I right click on a file or folder, but there is no quick access displayed.When I open File Explorer, this is the list that I get. Notice Quick Access is no longer there. And it's not under Home.Can someone help me figure out if it's possible

Quick Access Crashes Explorer

Quick Access is a new feature in Windows 10 File Explorer navigation pane which helps users quickly navigate to locations which are frequently used. However, if you're having issues with Quick Access, you can try to disable and enable it. To disable Quick
Access, follow these steps:

• Type File Explorer Option in the search box.
• Click on File Explorer Options.
• Under General tab, choose This PC in the Open File Explorer to: drop down menu.
  
• Uncheck Show recently used files in Quick access and
  Show frequently use folders in Quick access.
• Click Apply an OK.
• Restart the computer and re-enable Quick access.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested troubleshooting steps.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I am glad to assist you.

Please follow these simple steps to bring back the old This PC view in Windows 10 File Explorer:

1. Open File Explorer, click on View tab in Ribbon and then click on
Options.

2. Now to remove frequent folders and recent files list from Quick Access/Home view, uncheck following 2 options present under
Privacy section:

• Show recently used files in Quick Access
• Show frequently used folders in Quick Access

It'll immediately remove these 2 sections from Quick Access view in File Explorer.



3. If you want to completely get rid of Quick Access/Home view from File Explorer, change the option "Open File Explorer to" from "Quick access" to "This PC" using drop-down list. It'll
set the old This PC view as default in File Explorer and you'll always have disk drives page visible whenever you open File Explorer.

In File Explorer Quick Access

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some information.

1. What exactly do you mean by “old firefox”?
   

Quick Access is basically showing you folders that you frequently used, and showing you files that you’ve recently accessed.

If you want to clear the files from file history, you can right click on the file and click on 'Remove from Quick Access"

I suggest you refer the below steps to clear file history.

1. Click Start and type: file explorer options and hit Enter or click the option at the top of the search results.
   
2. Now in the Privacy section make sure both boxes are checked for recently used files and folder in Quick Access and click the Clear button.
