Windows 10: Did the last update break my sound system?

    Did the last update break my sound system?


    No sound since Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26052.1100 ge_release update yesterday. The sound symbol is X off and the volume slider is set to zero. If moved, it goes back to zero. The audio troubleshooter runs and runs with no results. My monitor is a Samsung TV and uses the HD audio driver. The TV sound is OK.

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Did the last update break my sound system? :p

    I got no sound microsoft or horrible sound

    In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

    • What happens exactly when you try to play the sound?
    • Are you getting any error message?
    • Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

    • Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.

    Windows 10 Pro and Ergnomic Break Reminder

    Hi,



    Apologies for the late reply.



    Do you remember installing any break reminder software?



    It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.



    I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.



    Try the following steps:


    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command

    • Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter

    • Search for the programs and un-install it.
