Ok so i had this threat in my hp laptop using windows10 and it was called PUA:win32/softcnapp and so i followed this tutorial to manually delete it but im abit paranoid and dont know if it truly worked and is legit or if it just made windows defender not detect the threat anymoreI would apreciatw if someone can look at the youtube vid and tell me if it is legitVid:https://youtu.be/henRTsvtvlM?si=B1f4_tQ3sY4bhtnpPs: i also used autoruns64 to check if there was anything and there only alot of false positives but somone told me it wasnt legit and i should do a scan with eset and hitman pro****

  2. Threats detected by Windows Defender

If you really want to be sure if those threats are removed completely then I would suggest to clean install Windows. That’s the only way to know for sure. And always disconnect from the internet next time you encounter malware. That’s the first step to take, especially if you have more than one computer sharing the same network.

Windows Defender/Security - no option to "Allow" potential threats?

If you want to control what does defender do to threats you can do it trough GPO in the following location: Computer configuration\Administrative templates\Windows components\Microsoft defender antivirus\Threats Here configure option: Specify threats upon which default action should not be taken when detected Threats are categorized by level, you assign default action per threat level.
EDIT: Btw. to open GPO (Local Group Policy) follow these steps: 1. click on start button 2. type: gpedit.msc 3. right click on gpedit.msc and run as Administrator
