Windows 10: Did update 24H2 reduce GPU usage and worsen perfomace?

I've recently installed the windows 24H2 update which arrived on my device on the 16 of Feb 2025, since that day I've noticed that certain games run much worse than they did before, NVIDIA graphics drivers don't seem to be the problem as the update from them arrived prior to the windows one and all the games were running smoothly. I looked at the GPU usage both using the task manager and the NVIDIA statistics and its shows that only 50% of the GPU is being used, even though the task is demanding and the games is not achieving the targeted fps. This does not occur for all games both most of the

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10 CPU usage 100% when Nvidia GPU enabled

I've had the same problem, and have exactly the same GPU model. I was able to set the drivers back to factory default, but any update I've tried (including the most recent) causes the massive cpu usage. I've contacted tech support for both Nvidia and Asus,
and followed all the steps they suggested, with no luck.
