Windows 10: Did windows 10 break the sent-to option? send to email recipient appears broken?

Office Outlook 2010 on W10 (1903)

It appears that the default email client is stuck on Windows Mail - and this is unacceptable to anyone I have spoken with.

And due to the integration aspect things like scan-to email will not work, stating there is no default email client.

This was brought to my attention by a user of QuickBooks that could not email their invoices like thy always had in W7.


Any thoughts here?

'send document to email recipient' option for Mail App

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

From the description provided, I understand that you are not able to use the Mail App as default send to mail recipient option.

The ability to email a file from Windows Explorer relies on MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface), which is something that the Windows Mail app doesn't currently support.

Please be informed that the Windows mail app is not an email client and does not accept the "send to mail recipient" or other such functions. MAPI support is responsible for the mail:to function in Windows.

If you have any suggestions about Windows 10, I suggest you to post your valuable feedback about Windows 10 in feedback app. So, that it will be helpful for the developers to integrate the changes suggested by you.

Open start menu , type Feedback app in search bar and click on feedback app to open it. Post your suggestions in feedback app.

Windows Messenger Confirmation Email

No It didnt appear in my spam box but I updated to Windows live Messenger which sent the confirmation email and also verified windows messenger. Ty everyone for there suggestions

 

Sending Emails and How My Name Appears in Recipient Inboxes

I am working with an important business contact that has strict email policies. When I send them an email my first and last name must appear in their inbox, like "Jane Doe". Instead, my email address is appearing in their inbox, like "JaneDoe@gmail".
I have done everything I know to do in the settings of both Gmail and this new Mail tool that comes with Windows 10, but nothing is working. Does anyone know what I can do so that emails sent from me through this Windows 10 Mail tool will appear as "Jane
Doe" in my recipients inbox? Right now, the only way I can comply with my business partner's request is to send emails through Gmail.
