Windows 10: Different Desktops but one taskbar

Hi Allis this setting available in Windows 10?Let's say that I have 2 desktops Windows Key + Tab. and I have Outlook open in Desktops 1 while I'm working on Desktop 2,while I'm in Desktop 2, If I click on Outlook Icon in the Task Bar, what will happen is, instead of moving to Desktop 1, it will open another Outlook window in Desktop 2, meaning I will have 2 Outlooks opened on two screens. is there a way to move the screen to Desktop 1 instead of opening another program window? it may be easy to move between 2 Desktops but sometimes I have more than 10 opened simultaneously.if you compare thi

Is it possible to pin different apps on a taskbar on different virtual desktops in Windows 10?

You can personalize the desktop of two computers by pinning the apps, documents and other programs to the taskbar.

You can differ personalizing taskbar applications on different computers. You can either pin the same or differ the applications, programs or games on the computer taskbar according to the necessity.



To pin the apps to taskbar, follow the steps below:

• Click on Windows logo key on the keyboard to open
  Start menu.
• Right click on the app and select Pin to taskbar option from the context menu.
• Close the window and check if the app is pinned to taskbar.

Different taskbar for different virtual desktops.

I have a issue with virtual desktops in Windows 10. When I use virtual desktops, there is a single taskbar that is shared between all of them, for eg : say I have Task Manager open on "virtual desktop 1" and Windows explorer on "virtual desktop 2" and I
am currently on "virtual desktop 1", then in taskbar I see both Explorer and Manager open whereas on "virtual desktop 1" I can only use Task Manager.

The problem with this is that when I have multiple programs and many different Chrome windows open on different virtual desktops, the taskbar gets cluttered and almost defeats the purpose of multiple desktops.

So what I want is different "local" taskbar for each virtual desktop - like if I have Task Manager on virtual desktop 1, then I should only be able to see that in my taskbar when I am using that desktop. Is this possible ?

Autohide Taskbar in Desktop Mode

Hi Niel,

In rare cases, you may be having an issue with Autohide Taskbar in desktop mode when you when you just recently did an upgrade on your PC. Autohide Taskbar Option might have got unchecked during the process. We would suggest you try the following steps to enable
Autohide taskbar and check if it makes any difference.

a. Right-click on the Taskbar.

b. Click on Properties.

c. Put a check mark next to ‘Auto-hide’ the taskbar.

d. Click on Apply and OK.
