  1. Different games trying to read different secured files and crashing

I am trying to play some games and they keep crashing cause they are trying to read files that i guess are in a secure file because id say like 9 different games are all pulling different files from the same folder but the pc wont tell me what the folder or file is, all it says is UNKNOWN, the most recent error i got from cyberpunk2077 was Error Reason: Unhandled exception Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION 0xC0000005Message: The thread attempted to read inaccessible data at 0x1FA1C57131C. File: <Unknown> Line: 0, Modded it crashes like this, unmodded it crashes, all i want is to

    :)

BSOD during gaming, plethora of different error codes!

Hello and welcome to TenForums Different games trying to read different secured files and crashing :)

The log files that you provided only show one crash dump file so there is not a lot of information to go on. Furthermore the bugcheck code is not one I have ever seen before!

The stack recorded in the dump includes some references to storage and the analysis suggests memory corruption and so with nothing else to go on I would suggest that you do a check on the hard disk and RAM. This maybe the same as you have already run but it would be good to see the results.

    Try CHKDSK
    using option 3
    Then

    Diagnostics Test [/i] HDD TEST
    *Arrow Run HDTune to
    • check the health,
    • scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    • run a benchmark.
It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following
    • the health,
    • the error scan,
    • the benchmark incl. following
      • transfer rate,
      • access time,
      • burst rate,
      • cpu usage.

Similarly with a memory test it would be good to post the results after you have run memtest86+ for a minimum of 8 passes

You indicated that many more crashes have occurred, however, they are not being recorded. Please make sure that your system is setup to record crash dump files: Configure Windows 10 to Create Minidump on BSOD

If the BSOD errors are all different it does tend to suggest a hardware problem. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Customising the Different Image Files on Windows 10

    Hello Guys,

I am trying to customise the various image files (bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg, png, svg, tif and tiff) on Windows 10 and noticed the following:

    1. the bmp, gif, png, jpeg, jpg and svg files are all programmed to use the same icon. Changing the icon for one will result in the other image files using the same new icon; and
    2. the tif and tiff files cannot be changed.

The way I do it is I use File Type Manager to locate the default icons key for each file in the registry and change the icon from there (this is because File Type Manager hangs whenever I try to change an icon using it).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could go about:

    1. customising the different image files to use different icons for each one; and
    2. changing the tif and tiff image file icons?

Much appreciate any guidance / advice.

    Thank you,
    Andrew
