Windows 10: Different microsoft defenders!? One free, one paid - Please help me understand the differences

So it's been brought to my attention that there's "two different microsoft anti-virus programs". One is free, and come pre-installed, and one comes with the Microsoft Office 365 pack, which is payed. I noticed this due to me being able to open microsoft through settings on my computer, but allegedly not from my "installed" through the microsoft store. So my questions are;- What benefits are added with the payed version of the microsoft anitvirus?- Does the payed version detect more malware than the free version?I'm just looking to understand the main differences, if anyone could help.

Not really. I wouldn't do the single core bench... that one takes forever. My Cinebench score. Everything is stock.

Help Me Understand What I'm Doing Wrong

I may be missing something, but I think what's being suggested is you use the arrow to choose another different method other then 'phone number' such as email or an authentication app, whatever's on the drop down list that's not a phone number.

@Ghot @Bree Thank you both very much. Bree, my old machines are running on 16GB of RAM at about 800MHz, so stepping up to 16GB of DDR4 @ 2400MHz should make whopper of a difference. For some things, at least. Ghot, is there anything special I should know before I trigger Cinebench.exe? Gonna try it on the main (i5) machine first.
