    Difficult to diagnose BSOD's

    Hello Microsoft!

Thank you for the help in advance. This is a relatively brand new machine 3 months that I built myself.

Recently I've been getting BSOD's at least one a day and the source pointed to by the dmp files seems to vary frequently, with ntoskrnl.exe and other kernel sources, along with memory management errors. The most recent logs I'm posting seem to suggest malware, but I recently nuked nearly every file and did a Windows refresh/fresh install on top of that. I've updated nearly every driver I can think of, as well as run nearly every test I can think of including, Virus/malware scans, GPU stress test, windows memtest and checkdisk.

The only things I can think of at this point is something wrong with the XMP profile but this doesn't seem likely or some hardware / driver failure that I can't nail down, so your help is greatly appreciated.

  2. Windows 7 USBHUB.SYS causes memory corruption: system crashing, extremely difficult to diagnose

Pretty sure the BSOD would explicitly say usbhub.sys if it were related. They likely added "extremely difficult to diagnose" because logic dictates it would be caused by any USB device. Microsoft apparently discovered it was an error in the operating system, not the devices.

    BSOD Hardware Caused???

they do weird things like that, which all seem like something else is failing.
One of the worst things to diagnose, they seem to only quit when they want to.

Memtest is a good next step, if you rule out RAM and Power Supply make sure you disconnect all unnecessary peripherals and try to start the system with as little hardware as possible, if it works then, you can narrow down the culprit by trial and error.

the follow was taken from some website:

It's very difficult to determine if a failure is caused by the CPU because many other components can cause the same symptom when they fail.

    1. System fails to boot
    2. System re-boots intermittently
    3. General Protection Fault
    4. Illegal Operation
    5. Stop Error, or BSoD (Blue Screen OfDeath)

Actually, CPUs rarely fail, and about the only way to determine if the CPU is causing the failure is to swap it out with a known working CPU of the same type and speed. Since this is difficult, the best bet is to first rule out every other possibility.

Before suspecting the CPU, rule out all the possibilities listed below.

    1. The Operating System
    2. A peripheral port device
    3. A bad memory module
    4. The hard disk drive
    5. The power supply
    6. The motherboard

If you have ruled out out all the other possibilities, investigate the items listed below.

    1. Overheating
    2. A short circuit
    3. ESD

tcpip.sys 0x109 BSOD error. How do i fix it ??

    Darshan

The steps suggested will enable you to collect the information needed to diagnose the cause of the crashes. You need to provide me with copies of these files if you want me to help you to resolve the BSOD errors.
