Windows 10: Difficulty Changing Lock and Login Screens Backgrounds

Hello!


I'm having some difficulty changing my lock and login screens backgrounds. Recently, I created my own theme using various free backgrounds I found online. When I set the theme as my background it worked fine. I have also set that theme as my lock screen and that works fine as well... but only when I allow the computer to go to "sleep" and start a slideshow of the pictures I compiled. When I "wake" the computer back up it shows pictures I chose. Everything works as I would like it to.


So here are my problems:


1. The lock screen does not show the desired pictures when I hit Windows+L, only the default. As stated before, it works fine if I allow the computer to go to sleep first.


2. As soon as I hit "Enter" the login screen pops up as one of the default pictures. This happens every time, no matter if the lock screen is showing the correct picture or not. I have triple checked that I have "Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen" on. It just doesn't work. I have restarted my computer several times, and this has not changed anything.

You can use your own image of any background and just go to settings/personalize/lock screen and click on browse as in the image below. It should make whatever picture you use as the Lock Screen

Yes you can change the sign-in screen background.

Change the Login Screen Background on Windows 10.

Follow these simple steps below together with these screenshots

Step 1: Head over to your Settings and then
Personalization.

Step 2: Once you’re here select the Lock screen tab and enable the
Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen option.

If you want to change the background of your sign in screen then you can do that.

All you have to is just:

You can also select Picture or Slideshow if you want your own family photos, or pictures that you simply want to cherish each day by using it as your background on your Windows 10.

Do note that the image that you select here will appear as both your lock screen background and your sign in background.

If you instead want to go with a flat color rather than a background image itself then follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Go ahead and disable the Show lock screen background picture on the sign in screen.

Step 2: Once you have done that, head over to your Settings, then
Personalization, and then finally Colors.
