Windows 10: Difficulty pasting into file explorer full of folders

If I need to copy a folder into another folder and I have the destination folder open in Details View there is a small problem. To paste, I need to right click in the file explorer but if there is no room in the window I can't right click without the paste ending up inside a lower level rather than at the top level. One way is to change the view to List View from Details View, enabling me to right click in the window but not on a folder, but I think there must be an easier way to do it and I just can't figure it out.

Files remain in original folder after moving them to new folder in file explorer

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the File Explorer may be caused by some configuration or files mismatched. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you reset the folder settings from the
Folder Options. This will reboot the folder’s preferences to its default state and remove any possible software conflict. To do this, you may follow these steps:

• Click Start, type File Explorer, and press
  Enter.
• On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View.
• Under the Folder views section, click Reset Folders, and then select
  Yes to confirm.
• Once you’re done, click OK, and then check if the issue persists.

Note: This process will remove the list of files that you recently opened.

I have added the file count column to my folder in File Explorer. However, the actual file count is not displaying.

• When you say, "actual file count is not displaying" is this issue specific to any folder or happening with all folders?

Sudden Copy/Paste Folders in File Explorer Behavior Change


File Explorer used to give me the option to either overwrite or skip existing files when copying a folder from one drive to another to replace a same name folder on the target drive.
Today, that option dialog disappeared and the copy-paste process resulted in the automatic creation of a new folder on the target drive named CopiedFolderName - Copy. I want the option to overwrite back!
FWIW, I'm on Win 10 Pro build 14965.
Any suggestions very much appreciated!
