  1. Digital Audio Interface Device Keeps Installing and Uninstalling Causing Stutters. How Can...

Noticing major stutters on the desktop and in applications, I found the culprit to be a sound device under the Recording tab of Sound Settings. The device's name is Digital Audio Interface. The device will disappear and reappear continuously, even after restart. It may be a corrupt registry. I have tried disabling and uninstalling through the sound settings list and the device manager. I have also tried the troubleshooter here with no luck: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed.

  2. Audio stuttering after wake

    Hi, ShimmyW

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Knowing that you have problems with your audio after waking up from sleep, you can try the following suggestions:

    1. Check for Hardware Conflicts:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Expand the “System devices” category.
    • Look for any devices with yellow exclamation marks or error messages.
    • If you find any conflicts, try disabling or uninstalling the conflicting devices.
    2. Test with External Audio Device:

    • Connect an external audio device, such as headphones or speakers, to the computer.
    • If the audio stuttering persists, it suggests a problem with the Realtek audio device or its drivers.
    3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

    • Go to Control Panel > Sound.
    • Select the Realtek audio device as the playback device.
    • Click on the “Properties” button.
    • Go to the “Enhancements” tab.
    • Uncheck all the enhancement options.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Gigabyte support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or replace the audio device if necessary.

No audio device is installed (How to fix?)

Since you uninstalled the Intel Display audio and you no longer have audio, that suggests you are using HDMI (??) If this is the case then the Realtek is not being used and not causing your problem.

First step as mentioned is to reinstall the Intel Display Audio.

    Audio driver conflict causing stuttering?

    Hi Techhelper89,

Unfortunately, I did the instructions as mentioned in the thread and the stuttering persists. I used the link provided: and the steps requested

    http://www.tweaking.com/files/setups/tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio_setup.exe

I also tried reinstalling the Realtek Audio drivers as suggested by the thread to no avail.

I've also added some links of how the stuttering looks and sounds like to the main post of this thread. I hope it helps identify the issue.

One more thing I noticed after the above steps is that I can boot with Nvidia HD Audio drivers disabled but the stuttering persist. Enabling then disabling "cures" the stuttering for a while. Although, when this is happening while the Nvidia Audio drivers are
disabled (as there is an enable option) the icon doesn't look like one that is normally disabled (with a small circular arrow down icon).

    Cheers,

    Ben
