  1. Dimming of other tabs when I'm not using them.

Hello,I accidentally turned on this feature in my settings and am unable to turn it back off: when I open a new tab or when I have two windows open, only the one I am currently interacting with is bright, whilst the other window as well as the surroundings are dimmed.I have been trying to undo this for days : I have looked everywhere in the settings including the brightness settings, as well as the battery settings, but I cannot seem to undo this feature. I have even tried the Focus settings, but everything was turned off, so no luck. Would anyone have a solution?Thank you in advance.

    :)

    display dimming

    Hi,

There's a possibility that this issue is due to the Display settings of your device. For us to isolate your concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • Is it only happening when you connect your device to Windows 10?
    • If it's not connected, have you noticed certain activities wherein the screen dims automatically?
    • Have you tried using a different HDMI cable?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

We hope to hear from you soon.

  3. Adaptive Dimming

Thank you for providing your answer to the questions.

If that did not resolve your concern, follow the steps below:

    • Go back to the first setting that you've tried (Refer to your screenshot).
    • Under Dimmed display brightness, change the value of
      On battery
and Plugged in option to "0".
    • Click Apply and restart your computer.
Changing the value to "0" won't automatically reduce the display brightness of your computer.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

  4. Dimming of other tabs when I'm not using them.

    Pentium M

Not sure what I'm looking at. Though when I do go to Options and then CPU it lists my CPU
as Intel Pentium M processor 1.73 GHz, and then under that it lists speed: 799.9 MHz
and then features and cache size.I ran the benchmark test and don't understand all
those numbers, but while testing I checked CPUZ and it still says it is running at 800 MHz.
