    Direct X 9 error not solved with reinstall


    I get this error when I try to run games that use dx9. I have deleted all files beginningg with dx3dx9 from both System32 and SysWOW64 and then reinstalled direct x but this has not solved my issue.C:\Windows\System32/d3dx9_43.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. error status 0xc000012f.

    Direct x 9

    win 10 comes with direct x 12, trying to get mine craft story for my son and it requires dx 11 and recommends dx 9. how do i install direct x 9?

    Okay so,

    I'm not running any overlay software.

    The issue is consistent, as in every time I complete a mission, the game crashes instead of going into the next cutscene.

    There are no errors when I run dxdiag.

    I'm about to reinstall direct X, update, and see if that changes anything..

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check:


    • Press Windows + R keys together.

    • Type dxdiag in the run prompt and hit enter.

    • Now check for the version of Direct x.
