Windows 10: DIrect x on older versions?

Discus and support DIrect x on older versions? in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I currently have DirectX 12, and I was trying to play some games that installed older versions of DirectX, but would always fail and require a manual...     DIrect x on older versions?


    I currently have DirectX 12, and I was trying to play some games that installed older versions of DirectX, but would always fail and require a manual download. So I try that, but every single version always has the same error, saying that there was internal error. It seems this is for every game that needs older versions of it. Any way to fix it?

    • Where have checked for the version of Direct x?


    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check:


    • Press Windows + R keys together.

    • Type dxdiag in the run prompt and hit enter.

    • Now check for the version of Direct x.

    SIR I HAVE INSTALLED WINDOWS 10 BUT THERES NO UPGRADE IN DIRECT X VERSION I AM STILL RUNNING DIRECT X 9 NOT EVEN DIRECT X 11 WHAT SHOULD I DO TO UPDATE MY VERSION TO DIRECT X 11 OR 12 PLEASE HELP ME

    DIrect x on older versions?

    Older software issues with updated Direct X

    Older photo editing software says it requires Direct X 9, but runs on my laptop (Windows 10, Direct X 11.1) Also had the software on my desktop, but had to reinstall Windows 10 on the desktop which now has Direct X 12. Tried to re-install old software
    on desktop, but pop-up says it needs Direct X 9. When I try to download version 9, it says its not compatible with my computer and won't load. Why does the software work on my laptop, like it had previously on my desktop, but now won't install on my desktop? Can
    you successfully load two versions of Direct X? This software has features not on newer version, plus I have other software linked to this software so would like to have it installed. Can use the program on my laptop, but would like to use my larger desktop
    display. I'm a novice so uncomplicated answer appreciated.
