Windows 10: directx 11.2?

I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 and everything's ok but my dxdiag says directx 11.2? I have the latest Nvidia W10 driver for my Geforce 610 (353.62), all fermi will have DX12 support and Windows update even updated it shortly again, causing some issues like loss of performance and monitor blinking that were resolved. Is because Nvidia driver is not DX12 ready yet?, the Windows update driver?
DX12 would be fresh air for low end/aging systems.

how do you get directx 11 in Windows 10

I need directx 11, doesn't window 10 give you directx 11?? I seach up my directx and it was 10.1, how do you get directx 11?

it says "DirectX 11.3 and DirectX 12.0 are included in Windows 10. "

I have windows 10 but I still have directx 10.1....How do I get Directx11 or above?

DirectX 12 downgrade to directx11 due to Graphic card request.

You cannot downgrade DirectX 12 to DirectX 11.

DirectX 12 is backward compatible with previous versions of DirectX

Lots of users have installed DirectX 11 for gaming purposes and this has caused system crashes, BSOD's . . . etc.

The best solution is run the apps that require DirectX 11 in compatibility Mode and choose Windows 8 compatibility

 

DirectX 12 will be supported on 11_2 feature level. That hardware doesn't support feature level 12_0 or 12_1. As long as your card support feature level 11_2, your card will still take advantage of most DirectX 12 features like lower API overhead.

 

Thank you, I don't understand WTH are feature levels depite searching a lot, that means that (my) card hardware only supports DX11 features and the rest of DX12 is emulated via driver/software? or that it simply won't get DX12 features at all? then why they said fermi cards (like mine) get DX12 support? is that it's emulated in driver? I will check 3dmark API overhead and see the results

 

Most of the directX 12 features only need and will work with directX 11.2 (not emulation) BUT some features are only available on newer hardware that supports Tiled Resources Tier 2, Fermi cards only supports Tier 1 Tiled Resources not even Resource binding tier 2 are supported. To make it simple, the directX 12 is still supported but partially, not full. Just check this table if you still don't get it:

3Dmark says "API not supported", does that mean that a) My card doesn't support low overhead feature or b) my driver is not DX12 compliant?

hmmm I am searching for news relating to DX12 and Nvidia and found nothing, maybe Nvidia Hasn't released a DX12 driver yet and I am freaking out for nothing LOL. And it requires WDDM 2.0 and mine is still WDDM 1.3 so case closed *Biggrin

I have APU A8-6600K and I'm using its iGPU 8570D which is Directx 11, using windows 10 Pro N x64 and in dxdiag it says that directx 11.2, does it mean that my GPU can take advantage of Dx 12 features?

NVIDIA said that DirectX 12 is currently supported only on GTX 600 series and newer (Kepler), and DX 12.1 on GTX 900 and newer(Maxwell) .
NVIDIA also said that DX 12 update for GTX 400 and 500 series (Fermi) will come in a driver update later this year.
