Windows 10: DirectX11 wont install. Im trying to upgrade from DX10

I want DX11 installed on my pc

How to downgrade from DirectX12 to 11?

Hi Microsoft. I want to play Minecraft Story-mode from your windows store but I can't because of the new Windows 10 update. It upgraded my DirectX11 to 12 and I can't play MCSM without DirectX11. Please help me and thank you!

 

direct x 11 update needed

i am having a problem during update directx 10 to directx 11. i have some games that needs directx11. but i have DX10 in my PC and whenever i tried to install DX11 from web installer it shows an error that dirext that directx is already installed no installation
is necessary.

i have also tried to run setup as admin but not working.



now my question is only that how to remove DX10 that is already installed on my PC and update it to DX11.

or how to update to DX11.

i am using WINDOWS 10 64bit. my PC details are below.



now anyone please help to resolve my problem.

perhaps your computer cannot use direct X 11 and anyhow if you are using Windows 10 you should have Direct X 12. I thought if I remember right Windows 8.1 computers should have direct X 11 all ready.

 

Windows 10 include DirectX 12, BUT: If your graphics card supports a lower DirectX version in hardware, then this is the version you see in DXDIAG report. I have a nVidia GeForce GT 620 and supports DirectX 11.2, so I see 11.2 In an older computer the card (GeForce 7300GS) supported only DirectX 9.0, so the report stated DirectX 9ex. So if your graphics card supports up to DirectX 10, the report will state DirectX 10. They did that in Windows 10 so as not to mislead people about their card's capabilities. In Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, no matter what card you have you would see DirectX 11, which of course is far from true for old hardware. In Windows Vista you would see DirectX 10 (with WDDM drivers).
