Windows 10: Directx12 Causing crashes to all dx12 games

Hello, ive been having very consistent crashes with dx12 that I can only recall happening since upgrading to windows 11, I have tried just about anything on the internet and nothing has worked I am now trying a full reset to see if it works but I genuinely cant seem to fix this problem and it only happens especifically on dx12 it is very frustrating cause there are games that only run on dx12

Games run slow unless I force directx12

My pc suddenly has problems running a lot of games, while it's specs are quite high.

It used to be able to run almost any game, but it currently has issues running any game I try.

It has no issues outside of running games, other things work just fine.

The games run at about ~15 fps, while I should be easily able to run them.

I have been able to fix 2 games using steam flags:

• Dead by Daylight by using the -dx12 flag
  
• Rimworld by using the -force-d3d12
  

So both of these flags force the game to run using directx12, but I have no idea why this works. I would force every game to run in directx12 if I could, but I can't find the needed flags for all of them and it's quite tedious so I would prefer a more permanent solution.

dxdiag says the directx version is 12, and every directx or .net repair tool I found says everything looks good.

I have tried to find a way to reinstall directx12, but that doesn't seem possible unless I'm missing something.

Other things I have tried:

• reinstalling drivers using Geforce Experience
  
• reinstalling multiple games
  
• selecting high performance options in nvidia control panel and windows settings
  

 

DX12 crashing games!

Can't launch BF2042 since they lock game DX12, it's always crash!

И по усский пожалуйста! 100500 руководств, и ни одно применить не могу, так-как все настройки, что надо найти_и_открыть по другому называются. Я попросту не понимаю, что искать!!!

 

F1 2017 dx11 vs dx12

If the game is only DX11, then even if you have a DX12 GPU (video card), and a DX12 OS (Windows 10), the game will only run is DX11 as that the mode the game was designed to run in. In order to run in DX12 mode you need 3 things....

• Game must be a DX12 title
• GPU must be DX12 capable
• OS must support DX12

If any of those things at missing, the game will run in the lowest DX mode available to the lowest item. In your case it appears the game is only DX11 capable, so your DX mode will be 11. Also be aware that the DX API is backwards compatible, which means DX12 can play older DX games - 8 - 11 for example. That even though the OS is DX12 capable, doesn't mean a DX9 title is automatically elevated to DX12.
