Windows 10: DirectX9 error with sims 2

No DIrectX 9.0c compatible graphics card found on this copmuter! Make sure you have a graphics card compatible with DirectX 9.0c and that you have installed the latest drivers. the program will now close. thats they error im getting while trying to open sims 2 i contacted ea support and microsoft support and now im typing this in hope that someone could help me so please someone can you help me fix this issue i really wanna play sims 2 right now

Thanks for the suggestion .. but I am restricted to DirectX9 for now, Legacy support reasons.

 

Windows 10 and Sims 2 resolutions problems

Hi Sharon,

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
  
• 
  Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.
  
• 
  Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and then OK.

Sim 2 not recognised on the phone.

You may try these steps to isolate the issue:

• Restart your phone.
• Check that your SIM card is fully inserted.
• If possible, try your SIM card in another phone, or another SIM card in your phone.
