  1. Disable adaptive contrast on arm64/WOS

Does anyone know how to disable adaptive contrast on an ARM64-based machine (eg. Lenovo C630 or even a Surface Pro X)? I tried to follow all the directions online to find the registry key which has the FeatureTestControl but can't find it under the registry settings.

Also tried setting Edge, Microsoft News, etc under "High Performance" in Graphics settings but no dice. It's really annoying to have the contrast switch like that on my Lenovo Yoga c630 when going between dark and light windows (esp. when using dark mode).

Would love some help here. Thanks in advance!

  2. How to Disable Adaptive Contrast on Windows Surface Pro.

So I think I found an alternative resolution on disabling the Adaptive Contrast setting that does not require changing anything in the registry
for Windows 10! This issue affects the brightness/ contrast of your screen whenever you are looking at darker images. It seems to dim your screen even tho you do not have the adaptive brightness setting on. If this sounds like your issue, give the following
    a try:

I am currently using a Surface Pro 6:

    1. Right click on your desktop and select "Display
    Settings"

    2. Select "Graphics settings"

    3. Set whatever apps you don't want the adaptive contrast to effect
    as "High Performance" and BANG!

I currently only have Google Chrome and Adobe Lightroom on that setting and I have no longer experienced the issue at all within these apps. At the moment
these are the only apps I do not want the adaptive contrast to affect
and I don't mind it on everything else. Hope this helps, best!

  3. High Contrast Mode in Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to apply the changes from the settings option in Windows 10 and check if it helps.

    1) Type High contrast settings in the search box and then click on High Contrast settings.

    2) In the right pane select the level of contrast choose a theme and check.

I also recommend you to update the graphic drivers of the computer and check if it helps.

    • Open Device Manager.

    • Expand ‘Display Adapter’.

    • Locate the display driver.

    • Right-click on the display card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’
Hope this helps. Please reply to us with the status of the issue.

    Thanks.

    Disable adaptive contrast on arm64/WOS

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

    Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
    Step 2:

    Expand it (Network adapters).

    Step 3:

    Select your network adapter

    Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
    Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.

    Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.

Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

    Step 1:

    Open command prompt.
    Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
    Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
    netsh int tcp show global
    then hit enter.
    Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs
