Windows 10: Disable ads and start page in foxit reader ?

Discus and support Disable ads and start page in foxit reader ? in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I'm on Windows 10 x 64 version and downloaded the most latest Foxit Reader Version for windows 10, but the start page and advertising is very annoying....     Disable ads and start page in foxit reader ?


    I'm on Windows 10 x 64 version and downloaded the most latest Foxit Reader Version for windows 10, but the start page and advertising is very annoying.

    How to get rid of them?

    Foxit Reader keeps crashing after Windows 10 update

    I had the same problem after the Anniversary Update. Found the solution on the Foxit support forum:

    Crashing Foxit Reader when open pdf file - PDF Forum | Foxit Software

    It will be fixed in next major version 8.0. For now, to avoid this issue, please go to File->Preferences->General to uncheck 'show start page' and 'show advertisement'.

    Didn't try Vers. 8 (for now), but disabling both preferences fixed the problem for me.

    Welcome to the forum. If you get free software and they get money from adds to fund the project it wrong to try and disable it you may consider buying software if you want an advert free experience

    I gave up on Foxit as they install junk even in addition to the junk you opt out of. It is a shame as the reader is OK.

    SumatraPDF is pretty good.
