Windows 10: Disable annoying CAPS LOCK indicator

It's that time again. Every time I press the CapsLk key, an annoying pop-up display informs me that I just pressed the CapsLk key. Every time I see it I spend literally a day trying to disable it. Every time I disable it, it eventually comes back. Same thing with the Num Lock key.

Today, after not seeing it for months, it was the first thing I saw when I woke up. It might seem like a minor thing to some but I literally cannot do any work until this thing is disabled.

My device is a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ADA05 running Windows 10.

I've already tried many of the suggestions on Google. I've heard it may be related to This Lenovo thing or That Lenovo Thing. All Lenovo Things were removed from my computer last time I had to deal with this so it can't be related to any of those.

This started out of nowhere today and I didn't update or even restart my computer yesterday so I'm not sure what's up.

I can't take it. I have no idea why there isn't a simple check box to turn this off....... well I guess there are like 16 different check boxes to turn this off. I have no idea why none of them work or why whichever one worked last time suddenly stopped working today.

Hi Graeme,

The Caps Lock On indicator may have been disabled that's why it doesn't appear on your screen when Caps Lock is on. To have it enabled, follow these steps:

• Right-click on your desktop and click Display Settings.
• Click Advanced display settings.
• Scroll down and click Display adapter properties.
• Click the Screen configurations tab and check the box for
  Enable on-screen display.
• Under Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock, look for While the numeric lock or the caps lock is ON section and choose either
  Show the indicator for a few seconds or Always show the indicator on the screen.
• Click Apply, then OK.

How do I DISABLE Caps Lock On/Off indicator?

Hey,

So I'm using a Dell Inspiron 5537 with Windows 10 OS. Recently I started noticing this annoying little pop-up each time I hit the Caps Lock Key.

Does anyone know how to disable the toggle key on/off indicator/notification?
