Windows 10: disable automatically logon to hotmail

Hi

I own a Windows 10 (1903) laptop. When I logon to Windows there seems to be what looks like a "Hotmail App" on the task bar (alongwith MS Edge etc). It is always already in login mode, there is no provision to logout, and when a new message arrives I receive a notification. (This could be because I registered Windows10 with my hotmail account).

This is distinct from accessing my hotmail account by typing www.hotmail.com in a browser in which case I am explicitly prompted to enter my hotmail userid/password.


Is there a way to disable this "Hotmail App". I have tried msconfig>services>Microsoft Account Sign-in Assisstant>Disable and restarted, but no effect. I am sending the laptop for repair and want to disable access to hotmail.

Mapped network drives do not connect at logon in vista with automatic logon enabled

I have vista x64 . I have some mapped network drives . They get connected when i enter the password at logon screen. Now i enabled automatic logon in vista and they do not connect anymore . I have to double click on them and enter the password manually .

Windows displays the message "Could not connect to all drives" at logon .

They used to connect automatically in xo with automatic logon enabled.

My logon password is the same as the administrator password with which i can connect to these drives .

 

Do not want to use hotmail address and password to logon to my PC. How to revert back to what it was before - a separate logon to hotmail and my PC

Had a session with a MS tech support this morning. Now my PC:

• 
  Must logon using my Hotmail address and password.
  I am the Administrator for my PC and I cannot change my PC logon id and password back to what it was before because name and password change are no longer available. However, I can do so for another user account on my computer
  
• 
  My PC logon id is now my Hotmail address and password, whereas before, I have a separate logon id and password to my PC
  
• 
  This logon change is a big security issue because anyone who can hack into MS hotmails can logon to my PC as administrator
  
  
  
  I would appreciate help re do not want to sign in with a MS Hotmail account to my personal computer
