    I have a HD which has bit locker encryption on it as it was sent to me with recovered data from a failed drive. I have pc's with Windows 10 and Windows 11 home editions, neither of which come with bit locker. I have the encryption key which allows me to access the data but every time I disconnect the drive and attach it to a pc I have to keep entering the key. I would really like to completely disable bit locker. Does anyone know how it can be done?Thanks

    Bit-locker

    I have my account and device listed but when I go to the bit locker it says no key is there and I ha e no other way to access it

    Surface Pro 3 - Windows 10 Bit Locker key on reboot

    I was able to disable bit locker on boot. This solved my problem. Thanks for suggestion.

The Pre-boot bit locker password randomly times out, sometime immediately after boot, sometime while I was typing the password. I found a solution to disable the timeout so it stays on the password page indefinitely. I can't find it anymore....
