"Disable bluetooth auto connect" per paired device

I came across a closed thread, Disable bluetooth auto connect, with hundreds of posts over a number of years, almost all of which express surprise and frustration that there has been no improvement in this area since Windows 8 was introduced.

I share this frustration. Windows should be able to 'remember' a paired device without automatically connecting to it. Many people, including me, do not want our laptop a wonderful Surface Book in my case to 'take over' any smart-speaker in the vicinity. We do want to *choose* to connect to the smart-speaker sometimes, without going through a full pairing process every time. This should be a simple feature to implement!

My question for this forum is:

Is there a live Feature Request in the Windows development backlog for such a feature?

If not, can somebody point interested persons, such as myself, to the procedure for raising such a feature request?>

    Thanks

    :)

That is a horrible solution, as someone who remote assists a variety of technologically challenged people this posses a major headache. Can I suggest a simple auto connect checkbox similar to the WiFi feature.

I've tried this solution. It failed. I've removed the device as described above, and it no longer appears on the list.

However, it re-appears whenever I turn on my bluetooth device and the device connects. That's not what I want.

Hello Erika (MS "moderator"), are you reading *any* of your user's posts? Do you comprehend them? Are you intellectually dishonest, or simply incompetent? These are valid questions, given your "moderation" of this thread, and given your association with
a company that is no stranger to intellectual dishonesty.
