Windows 10: Disable how Windows Update overrides 'sleep' with 'restart' in start menu?

Basically, I like to put my computer to sleep usually and I leave a few things open so I can jump straight back to where I was when I come back. However, lately there have been alot of updates pushed to my system that require restarts to take effect. I know this may not be a big issue for other people but I've always put my system to sleep like below, and it's pretty much muscle memory. This has happened maybe a dozen times in the past couple weeks but this was not an issue before this. Sometimes I don't even notice until I come back to a computer that has stayed on for hours on top of having to get everything back open to where it was.

My power button is hard to get to, so using that to put it to sleep isnt a realistic option. And my keyboard does not have a sleep button. I am so used to just pressing Windows > Right > Enter to put my system to sleep rather than using the little drop down menu. But when the system requires a restart, it is a restart button instead of sleep.

How can I override the button to always be a sleep button? I do restart for updates but I would rather manually do it when I am not half way through something I need to go away from for a couple hours.

Windows 10 Start menu issue

yeah I've been less than happy with the start menu also.
for me I for me I get freezes in start menu, especialy returning from sleep...which reminds me sleep is such a pain in the butt since I switch to Windows 10. Either waking up on its own, or system freezes when recovering from sleep

Stardock was a nice switch from vanilla, but i wasnt gonna buy it and 30 days goes by quick.
