How to disable Windows 11 Live Captions

Hey, I've recently upgraded to Windows 11 and while I really like the Live Captions, I want to disable them as I don't really need them most of the time.



I went to Accessibility -> Live Captions, I believe this is where I should be seeing an option to disable, but I can only change the style of the captions, not enable/disable them.





Help!

 

Live captions - how to get with insider account?

Thanks Elise. I had actually checked for updates before joining the insider program and none were available, but since then the 22H2 update did show up - so I've completed that step, hoorah! But step two, enabling the captions, is not happening. The live captions option does now show up in 'accessibility' and I have turned it on, but then when it comes to downloading the captions I've been trying for 3 days now and I am just stuck with a box that says 'setting up live captions' with a a sliding blue line (whatever you call that - like download in progress, but it doesn't show where the download is at). I left it running the whole day and nothing is happening. I don't think it's my connection as it's working fine for other things. Any suggestions??

 

Live Captions in Windows 11

I am currently on Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.778).

I am having a problem with Live Captions feature in Accessibility. As it is specified elsewhere in "How to enable Live Captions?" Forums, I went to Live Captions settings to enable it but I don't have the toggle button to enable/disable Live Captions. I can only see the Live Captions customization settings.
