  1. Disable mail and calendar notification if apps closed

I want Windows Mail and Calendar background work to be disabled if they are closedI have a few email accounts there, I want to still receive other notifications from other applications and receive notifications only if the apps are intentionally opened and left running.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Disable mail and calendar notification if apps closed :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Windows Mail App Notifications Disabled (Grayed Out)

    Hello,
I have a problem with Windows 10 Mail app notifications.
When trying to enable notifications from system option, I cannot toggle it at all?
Despite the fact that it is already the default app!

Disable mail and calendar notification if apps closed

    Mail not showing notifications

I am not getting toast or action center notifications for Mail app, although in the Mail app settings, I have notifications enabled.
In Windows settings, "notifications & actions", both the mail app and the calendar app are missing from the list.
I have not set up the calendar app, but I did set up the mail app with my gmail account, and aside from notifications, it seems to be working properly.
