Windows 10: Disable password masking

How do you disable password masking on windows 10? I have a disability that makes it hard to type and I absolutely abhor the fact that passwords on logging in aren't visible as I am typing. I have seen people say it' so nobody can look over your shoulder as you login but that is a ridiculous assumption to make. Most people aren't using their computers in public spaces with people watching their screens. That is completely unnecessary for the vast majority of people. It turned on num lock on logon for some stupid reason and I sat there for 20 minutes trying to logon as it refused my password. I

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.

How to Remove login screen and completely Disable login password ??

as you have already tried to disable the login password from netplwiz, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Right click on Start and select Control Panel.
• click on Categories and select Large icons.
• Click on Power Options.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Require password on wakeup.
• Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
• Select the option, Don't require a password and click on
  Save changes.
