    Disable PRE-boot Bit-locker timeout


    I have had this problem before. The Pre-boot bit locker password randomly times out, sometime immediately after boot, sometime while I was typing the password. I found a solution to disable the timeout so it stays on the password page indefinitely. I can't find it anymore. After the anniversary update, this issue came back. Help me! This time I'll save the solution somewhere.

    Surface Pro 3 - Windows 10 Bit Locker key on reboot

    I was able to disable bit locker on boot. This solved my problem. Thanks for suggestion.

    BitLocker is waiting for activation

    Tried that too, but secure boot prevents this.

    I disabled Secure Boot but that brings up a "Bit Locker key required" screen.

    If BitLocker is in the "waiting for activation" state, what is the key that it used to encrypt the files that can be used on this screen?

    Or is that the key it would have given me had I enabled/activated Bit Locker.

    During initial setup does it choose a key, encrypt the files then keep this key hidden until Bit Locker is activated.
