Windows 10: Disable Shutdown Confirmation

I always have a program running that won't shutdown with Windows so I always have to confirm the shutdown or the PC won't turn off. Can I tweak the ShutdownButton just to force kill everything without my confirmation? - I always forget to do it and already left the the room

Disabling Synaptic touchpad in Windows 10, and why it won't stay disabled. For a left handed person, it is disruptive.

Hi,

If you wish to disable your touchpad, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.

• Press Windows Key +X.
• Select Device manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right click on Synaptic touchpad driver and select Disable.
• Click OK to confirm and check with the issue.

Apps reopening on start up after shutdown/restart

Thank you for posting your concern. Please confirm if you already install the
January 31st update (KB4058258 (OS Build 16299.214)) and perform the steps provided
by PaulSey....

You can also use command line to disable apps from auto reopening in Windows.

• Open Command Prompt and type command shutdown -t 0 -s to shut down.
• If you want to restart use command shutdown -t 0 -r and hit Enter.

Win 10 hangs on restart and shutdown

Power Options from the Control Panel. To do this, you may proceed to the steps below:

• Click Start, type Control Panel and press
  Enter.
• On the Control Panel search box, type Power Options, and then select it from the search results.
• Click the Choose what the power buttons do on the left-side panel of the window.
• Under the Define power buttons and turn on password protection section, click on
  Change settings that are currently unavailable.
• From the options under Shutdown settings section, uncheck the
  Turn on fast startup (recommended) check box button to disable the hybrid shutdown.
• Click Save changes and close the System Settings window.
  
• Once you're done, you may check if the issue persists.
