Windows 10: Disable Thumbnails in Windows 10.

I am attempting to disable the feature Thumbnails in Windows 10, Version 21H2, OS 190441826. I tried every suggestion found on-line and nothing works!! Suggestions include File Explorer, Settings, Global Policy. Nothing will disable Thumbnails!! Problem is that Thumbnails grows in size very rapidly each day. I can control it by using Disk Cleanup every day, but that is a pain. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thx.

How to disable thumbnails for all files

Refer the steps mentioned below:



Disable Thumbnails in File Explorer:

1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control folders and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on View tab.
   
4. Select the checkbox for Always show icons, never thumbnails under
   Files and Folders.
   

Disable Thumbnails in Visual Effects:

1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type SystemPropertiesPerformance
   and click on OK.
   
3. Go to Visual Effects tab and clear the checkbox for
   Show thumbnails instead of icons.
   
4. Click on Apply and OK.

Follow the steps provided below to turn Thumbnails on/off:

• Open File Explorer.
• In the Menu bar, click on View and then Options.
• In the View tab, uncheck/check the option for “Display file icon on thumbnails” to disable/enable thumbnails.

Disable Taskbar Thumbnail Preview?

Hey there,

I was just searching the internet for ways to disable the Taskbar Thumbnail Preview in Windows 10, and I found one that half-worked (only some apps use list view instead of thumbnails). I was wondering if there was a way to completely disable the preview?
I am alright editing the registry.
