Windows 10: Disable Windows 11 One Touch Sign In

I have 2 accounts on my laptop: one work, one personal. The work account doesn't allow Windows Hello sign in options so is logged on via password. The personal account is set up with a password, PIN, and fingerprint. If I turn on my laptop with the registered fingerprint I am automatically signed in to my personal account. Is there a way to disable one-touch login on Windows 11? I'd still like to enable fingerprint login, but I want to be able to turn my laptop on with any finger and still be able to login via fingerprint if I want to proceed into my personal account.

This issue might be due to drivers which are to be updated.



I suggest you to update the drivers for touch feature in Device Manager:

Steps:

• Right click on Windows key from the desktop and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices, right click on the
  Touch screen driver and select Update Driver Software.

Also, I suggest you to contact the device manufacturer website and try to update the chipset drivers as well.

touch is not disabling

• From where exactly ae you trying to disable the touchscreen?
• Have you installed all pending Windows updates?

Follow the steps given below and check if you are able to disable it:

1. Press Windows Key +X from your keyboard.

2. Select Device manager and open it.

3. Then, right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and from the list of options displayed, select ‘Disable’

4. Instantly, a confirmation pop-up will appear on your device screen, requesting you to confirm the decision.
Disabling this device will cause it to stop functioning. Do you really want to disable it? Click ‘Yes.’

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it helps:

Method 1: Try to run a inbuilt
Hardware troubleshooter
and check.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your touch Screen. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting
  and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions and check.
  

Method 2.Try updating the Touch screen drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the touch Screendrivers:

• Press Windows key + X key and click
  Device Manager.
  
• Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.
  
• Right-click on the Sound card and click on
  Update driver software.
  
• Restart the computer and check.
