    Disable Windows 11 Update and keep it disabled


    My friend is using Windows 11 and wanted to stop Windows Updates. I stopped the service and disabled it - all was OK for about 4 weeks then he got a Windows Update. I just did the same for him and restarted the machine, the setting was back at 'manual' - I tried this more than once and it seems to reset. Any ideas?

    Anyway To Disable Definition Updates in Windows 11 Pro?

    So I originally had Windows Defender in Windows 11 disabled, but after an update it turned back on. I would appreciate it if someone could teach me the steps of disabling the Definition Updates inside Windows 11 PRO.

    Disable Action Center in Windows 7?

    Unfortunately that doesn't disable Action Center, all it does it cause Acution Center to bitch about the Security Center service not running.

    Action Center seems to be a different beast from Security Center...

    And telling it to not display any messages gets it out of the way, the same way disabling the icon in the suggestions above does, but Action Center is still enabled and running.

    Disabling Synaptic touchpad in Windows 10, and why it won't stay disabled. For a left handed person, it is disruptive.

    Hi,

    If you wish to disable your touchpad, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.

    • Press Windows Key +X.
    • Select Device manager.
    • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right click on Synaptic touchpad driver and select Disable.
    • Click OK to confirm and check with the issue.
