Windows 10: Disable Windows Clock app update prompt

On a fresh Windows 11 23H2 build, when I try to open the Clock app, it prompts for installing an update. We have Windows Store blocked in our environment and want to suppress these type of prompts as much as possible from end users. Is there a way to turn off these update prompts administratively? Or a way to include the latest Appx Package in the build such that this doesn't need to be updated in the first place? With the later I fear the prompt might re-appear after some time if there is a new update.

Windows Alarms & Clock app seems to update correctly in Windows Store but never really installs

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with Alarm and Clock app, try the below and check if it helps.

I would like to inform that, you need to close the Windows Store and other apps before executing
the PowerShell command. Also, sign-out and sign-in before installing the apps from the store.
I suggest you to take this as a precaution before performing the troubleshooting steps.

Step 1: To uninstall Alarm and Clock app
follow the below steps.

• Press Windows key, type
  Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
• Enter the command: “get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsAlarms* | remove-appxpackage” (Without quotes) on the
  PowerShell and hit Enter.

This will uninstall the Alarm and Clock app and then you can reinstall the app from Windows Store. Before re-installing, I suggest you to perform
Step 2 and proceed.

Step 2: Run
WSReset.exe .

• Press Windows+R key to open
  Run box
• Enter wsreset.exe in the Run command and then click
  OK.
• Restart your computer and install the app.

I have another Microsoft account and local account and the app is working fine.

This issue might occur due to corrupted system files.

Step 1: I suggest you to perform the
System File checker (SFC) scan to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Refer to these steps to perform a SFC scan:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated command prompt.
• In the Command Prompt type the following command:
  sfc/scannow and press Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer.
