Windows 10: Disable WMR Touch Keyboard

So this has been asked by MANY people already for the last few years and you seemingly have done nothing. I've seen it on post after post in various forums including on the microsoft site. Hell there was even a reply from one of your team I think 3 years ago saying that's a good idea and has been asked for before .................................................How hard is it to DISABLE THE TOUCH KEYBOARD ON WMR???The thing is ****, when using a desktop window within WMR Home the effing touch keyboard comes up every time you click the mouse. Happens in some apps not others but it's bloody anno

How to disable the floating keyboard?

DaveM121, this was a great suggestion, but it did not work for me. I was able to disable the touch keyboard service and keep if from launching at startup. But the problem persists. Let me just clarify that the flying keyboard I'm referring to is not
the same as the touch keyboard. The keyboard I'm talking about is the keyboard that pops up in the virtual reality native environment (Mixed Reality Portal) in the Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) headset. So, what applies to the touch keyboard does not (apparently)
have any relation to the WMR keyboard. But thanks for the suggestion anyway.

If the above steps didn't work, we suggest that you disable the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Please follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Services, and then press Enter.
• On the right pane, look for Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Double-click on it.
• Locate the Startup Type drop down, and change it to Disabled.
• Click on Apply button to save changes.
• Click on OK button to close the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service
  window.
