Windows 10: Disabled User Needing More Keyboard Accessibility

Hi, I've returned to Windows after having a Mac for 7 years due to requirements for my college major. While having a Mac, I used the custom keyboard layout feature extensively. Even though Windows has an on-screen keyboard, it is not able to be customized with complete sentences, etc. in one click. I used this on a roleplay server in Minecraft Java to save me from typing so much to cut down on fatigue, RSI and nerve pain. Neither Windows Speech to Text or Dragon NaturallySpeaking works with Minecraft Java.



I am looking for a way to have a customized keyboard that I can add words and phrases to so they will go into the Minecraft text bar in one or two clicks. Any help would be appreciated.



Please note that I cannot code do to a math learning disability. Unless someone is willing to teach a very slow learner

Disabling laptop keyboard

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

As per the description. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I suggest you follow the steps below and check if that helps:

• Press Windows + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
• Find Keyboards in the list of devices and click the arrow to expand it.
  
• Right-click on the internal keyboard and click Disable. If there is no Disable option listed, click
  Uninstall.
• Click File>Exit. Your laptop’s internal keyboard should now be disabled.

Note: If you had to choose Uninstall instead of Disable in step 4, the keyboard will be automatically detected and re-installed if you ever have the Device Manager scan for new hardware for some reason. If that happens you’ll need to repeat this procedure
in order to uninstall it again.

how do I disable on screen keyboard in windows 10 ?

This does NOT work as there is no option to disable the virtual keyboard in Ease of Access

This **** VIRTUAL KEYBOARD is a major pain in the ass!

Is there a registry edit that can kill it, PERMANENTLY

Windows 10 tablets has a feature to enable and disable the on screen keyboard. We suggest that you disable the on-screen keyboard through the control panel by following the steps below and check if it helps:

• Press the Windows key + R.
• Type Control Panel and select the top most result.
• Type ease of access center in the control panel and open it.
• Click "Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard".
• Make sure that the "Use on-screen keyboard" is unchecked.
