    Disabling Antimalware Service Executable only control defender works


    Hi,

    Been trying for a couple of hours with all the tips on how to disable Antimalware Service Executable.
    With group polices.
    With register edits.
    With windows setting.
    None worked, it came back after restart.

    Then I tried control defender executable and it worked. Now it stays off.
    What exactly does that program do that none of the guides here or at other places cant do?

    One side effect is that that in settings the protections aagainst virus and threats is disabled and can not be opened.
    Fine with me as long as it stays off.

    Antimalware Service Executable problem

    I am still having the problem even with the latest prerelease build. The Antimalware Service Executable process is often running and taking a lot of CPU, disk and memory. The same The Antimalware Service Executable -> Windows Defender Service ...
    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?

    I was having the same issue like for weeks on my HP Probook Ci5 12GB, the Antimalware Service Executable process was eating up massive CPU, DISK and RAM. After all the hard time I got searching the solution I finally landed on

    Windows Defender Antimalware service executable

    Antimalware Service Executable is always running and using 100mb of memory. It is not running a scan all day every day however it is constantly using memory. I have tried re-schedule scan from the normal control pannel, setting, and task sheduler, I have
    disabled every feature of the windows defernder security that can be disabled. I have even done some crazy solutions I found on forums to make 'rule exeptions' in some advanced upon advanced settings windows. I have even tried to claim possession of the windows
    defender folder to try and deleted it completely. Non of which has worked to even reduce Antimaleware Service Executable memory consumption let along stop it from running. How can I claim back 5% of my RAM?
