  2. PC's with only onboard graphics are capable to run Windows 10?

Well, from my pc that I had installed windows 10 and it didn't support onboard graphics, I dismounted the hard drive and installed it on a pc with onboard graphics AND pcie gpu. And it worked fine! Note that in the BIOS settings the onboard gpu is always
activated but the monitor is connected to the pcie gpu. But when I transfer the hard drive back to my pc without onboard graphics, the same thing. No Signal. And the drivers for my gpu is installed. Can someone explain me what is happening with windows 10?

    my pc:

    Intel Core i3 2120

Asus P8 H61R2 (Yep, it hasn't got onboard gpu)

AMD Radeon R9 290 (MSI Gaming Edition 4GB)

    10GB Ram

    500+500 GB Seagate HDD

  3. GPU crashes after installing windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

I appreciate your interest on windows 10.

I understand your concern and will help you with the issue.

As you said, you are facing the issue while playing a game that requires better gpu.so, the issue is related to graphics driver.

I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

    Method 1

As, you tried uninstalling nvidia gpu and installing newest drivers(358.50),and it did not work. so, in that case I suggest you to download and install the earlier version of the driver from
    manufacturer website and check .

    If issue persists,

    Method 2

I suggest you to disable Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and check if it helps..

To do so, Please follow the steps below:

    • Type devicemanager in the
      search
      bar.

    • Expand the display driver.

    • Right click on
      Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
      driver and click disable.

    Still issue persists,

Please contact to the manufacturer website.

Please get back to us with updated status, we will be happy to assist you.

  4. disabling gpu and activating onboard graphics

Only Intel graphics chip working with only one monitor working.

If the onboard display is active, dual graphics will work based on what apps or programs are running on that display. The onboard GPU does not send any graphics signal over USB. Disable the onboard display and it will default to the low power GPU. The Intel GPU. The GPU that is driving the monitor(s) connected to the docking station, is in the docking station. It's its own separate GPU, and its not managed by the laptops dual graphics. Open a program that uses the NVidia graphics on your laptops screen. Then drag it over so its running on your external display. Your laptop will likely toggle back to the Intel GPU. The GPU in the docking station likely has its own RAM. Go to device manager > Display Adapters, and see what's listed. I have 3 entries, AMD Radeon HD7600M, AMD Radeon HD7660G, and MB168B. The MB168B is my external USB 3 monitor. The 7600M and 7660G are my laptops dual graphics. They are 3 different GPU's. My external USB monitor has a GPU inside it.
