Windows 10: Disabling trackpad on windows 10

Am looking to disable my laptops trackpad, I tried using the laptops function keys & it doesn't work, looked at settings & the only option is to change the sensitive.I don't need it enabled as I prefer to use a mouse & now when I type the trackpad keeps selecting things, scrolling down the screen etc, its done it several times whilst I type this in fact & is highly annoying & puts me off using it for any typing at all, my other laptop thats playing up due to age had the option to disable it on windows 10 but this help doesn't.

One way to disable the trackpad would be to use Device Manager. Here are the steps you can follow to do this:

- Press Windows Key+X and choose Device Manager.

- Find your trackpad in the list.

- Right-click the trackpad, and choose Uninstall Device.

This should stop the trackpad from functioning. If you want to re-enable it, you can follow the same steps and choose Enable instead.

laptop trackpad not working after windows 10 upgrade

the Toshiba website has no windows 10 listing of drivers for my model p50w-b00f (yet).

The trackpad on/off button does nothing.

note: the trackpad does work while booting. the little circle on black screen.

No. Because the troubleshooting guide on device manager wont even resolve my solution as it is also a basic and one of the primary steps to do but no avail. Tried installing powerplan7 and trackpad++ suggested by relentless on apple forums but with
no success for me. Until now i can't use windows 10 installed on my macbook pro 15inch late 2008 because of the trackpad/touchpad failure.
