Windows 10: Disabling "V-Sync" in game, will cause the screen to shatter, HELP?

When I'm in any game, at settings I disable V-Sync and when I apply the changes, the screen will start to shatter and my fps will drop to 10fps.

Please help, I have this issue for like months.

Does it have to do anything with Microsoft visual c++ or .Net framework? HELP.

Forced v-sync on many games

Hello,

After upgrading to Windows 10, I found that I like the OS very much. However there is one problem that sticks out - forced v-sync. I like to play games like Counter-Strike where v-sync can put you at a severe disadvantage. I have tried to fix this problem
by disabling the Xbox DVR option in the Xbox app, but that changed a handful of games, while there are still others with v-sync on. Anyone who could help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

How to use Adaptive V-Sync

NV Control Panel doesn't actually say, do you have to enable Adaptive V-Sync in NV CP and also enable normal V-Sync in a game to make it work or is Adaptive V-Sync fully independent?

I'm asking because when I tried it with it enabled in NV CP and disabled V-Sync in Killing Floor 2, image was still tearing like insane.

It's even more confusing because Fast V-Sync works by only enabling it in NV CP and it just overrides everything, even if V-Sync in games is disabled. So, I'm a bit confused now...

 

V-sync

Almost right Widjaja, Vertical Sync locks your FPS to your monitors Refresh Rate, which for most monitors is 60Hz which is why your FPS wont go over 60 if you enable V-sync. It really comes down to personal preference. Some people, like Widjaja don't like screen tearing so enabling V-sync helps that, but it also hurts performance quite a bit. Ill turn it on for games which my video card (Geforce 6800) can run well over 100FPS but will force it off for games that dont achieve a high enough Framerate.
