    Disallow user to toggle 'Periodic Scanning' option


    Hi All. Been trying to figure this with various options, but to no avail. Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction?We're using another provider and are trying to disable the option for users to toggle on/off the option for periodic scanning, under the Microsoft Defender Antivirus options dropdown via Intune;I've tried the following;Hiding the Defender UI via Group Policy as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/prevent-end-user-interaction-microsoft-defender-antivirus#hide-the-microsoft-defender-antivirus-interface by creating a Configuration Policy with

    Defender Periodic Scanning or Offline Scanning?

    That link does suggest it's useful to use Defender offline scanning in addition to periodic scanning and a third party real time anti virus (e.g. Kaspersky).

    Feature suggestion: Add option to disallow multiple instances

    Maybe this has been brought up before, but I will try anyway.
    * What do you think about having an option to allow/disallow multiple instances of the program?
    Some other similar monitoring programs have such an option.
    Of course, it won't be useful for all users, but I think it may be of some use in certain scenarios.

    What is your opinion?

    Limited Periodic Scanning turns off

    Hello!

    I use third-part antivirus. After Anniversary Update in Windows defender is option Limited Periodic Scanning. I turn it ON, but after 5 minutes Limited Periodic Scanning is automatic OFF. And every time when i restart my PC, i need to turn it ON.

    Any suggestions?
