    Hey y'allso recently I got an NBN plan and my go to has been PPPoE due to lack of necessity in a router, my computer is Win10 and directly connected to the broadband connection point.I've noticed that A. Windows doesn't seem to have a direct method for auto-connecting to broadband, so I've followed Jose CarlosGuillen Rincon Gallardo's Method 1 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/all/how-to-create-a-fully-automatic-dial-up-internet/d7918264-1e56-4616-bc05-00aaad37005cB. when I try and disconnect via window's control panel -> network & sharing center -> change adapter

    Automatic Broadband (PPPoE) Connection on Windows 10

    Hello,

    I am a Windows 10 Pro user. I have a Broadband Internet Connection connected directly to my PC. I had Automatic Broadband (PPPoE) Connection which would dial up at startup on my previous versions of Windows. I used
    rasdial feature and Task Scheduler to connect automatically on my previous versions of Windows. But when I tried setting up an Automatic Broadband (PPPoE) Connection on Windows 10, I was unable to do so.

    How can I create an Automatic Broadband (PPPoE) Connection on Windows 10?

    Hello Babu,

    Thank you! I was able to create an Automatic Broadband (PPPoE) Connection on Windows 10 after
    creating a shortcut of my Broadband Connection
    and then placing it to the startup folder. However, rasdial feature does not work on Windows 10.

    As I said before I don't have any connectivity problems at all! It is simply that I don't have the "connect" button on clicking the network icon is system tray. When I click on this icon, I get my service provider's name "YOU Broadband". No "connect" button. In Windows 8 there used to be a "connect" button with it and clicking it would connect immediately. In Windows 10, I have to click on the "YOU Broadband" option and it opens the Dial-up tab/PPPoE in Control panel and I find YOU Broadband listed there and then find the Connect button there and I have to click on that and connection is immediately made. No issue. So I don't think there is any adapter issue. To disconnect, I have to go through all these steps again!*Mad. It is frustrating. Why did Windows 10 have to make this complicated instead of simplifying it?

    Or can someone suggest if I can make a shortcut with connect button which doesn't make me go through so many clicks?
