Windows 10: Disconnected drive still shows up

I have a 2.5 inch drive enclosure that I use to allow me to connect 2.5 inch drives to my PC, which I use as backup drives. I had a 2.5 inch HDD in it, and I shut down my PC, removed this drive, and then placed my 2.5 inch SSD in it. However when I turn my PC back on, the SSD doesn't show up, and the drive labelled F:, just says "this drive is not available".

How do I fix this?

I can't eject the drive, it just says it's open in a program even though it isn't.

Windows 10 Drive Mapping showing Disconnected Network Drive

I have a NAS (WD My Cloud) on my home network and I have always added a drive on my networked computers using drive M as their Music drives. But recently My Network drive went down and I had to reinstall all the files on it's replacement drive. I gave
the new network drive4 the same IP address on the network and everything else (All the other drive mappings for my Documents Drive, my Downloads drive, my Pictures drive, etc. Nut my music drive keeps showing Disconnected Network Drive. But now I cannot delete
the drive mapping. It tells me Network drive does not exist. I have tried all of the suggestions from other threads including using Command prompt commands and everything else I have seen but it still shows up as a Disconnected Network drive. I can rename
the drive as Music again and I can always access the drive4 even when it is listed as Disconnected Netowork Drive but I cannot add any more files to it and I cannot manipulate any of the files on the drive. I can listen to the music files through most of my
players but I cannot edit any of the metadata on the files. How do I get my drive fully functional again?

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown
I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. Win 10 won't boot, if I disconnect secondary drive(s)

1. Download: Macrium Rescue ISO 6.1.1000 and use: Rufus - Create bootable USB to create a USB Boot.
2. Disconnect Disk 1 from your PC
3. Boot up your PC using the USB in step 1
4. Follow the screen shot to fix Windows Boot
